My key departments are editing and camera operation, however when you produce films on a low budget you get stuck into all departments (which I am used to and love)I find inspiration everywhere. From art, the news, and simply having a conversation with someone.
I balance my filmmaking work with a 9- 5 job in Marketing and I love it. What excites me initially when I wake up is porridge and coffee. But throughout the day what excites me is telling a story. Even in Marketing I am telling a story, the story of the brand. Writing and rewriting, editing, collaborating. It’s an exciting and challenging process.
My mum. She is full of wisdom and has taught me so much. Since a young age she made an effort to teach me about powerful women with extraordinary stories. She definitely is the reason why am so passionate about the power of storytelling.

I’m super proud of 24 year old me going to Nepal on my own as a one woman film ‘crew’ filming about education inequality and sex trafficking. Then went to Uganda on my own to film about education inequality and sexual health. I can’t believe I did it, especially alone. It taught me a lot and I will never forget it.

You don’t need men to validate you.
