Evolve in the City Belfast!

Evolve in the City: Belfast – Inspirational Night at City Hall

Following the hugely successful launch of Evolve in the City in April this year, Evolve held its first Evolve in the City: Belfast this week in the stunning banquet room of City Hall. Sponsored by First Trust Bank and supported by Belfast City Council, the event welcomed 100 women for a night of inspiration, empowerment and celebration.

Founded by Mairead Mackle, Evolve is a multi-generational community of women, supporting each other to achieve personal and business success through its nationwide events, website and contributors – Empowering women to be women of power.

Evolve in the City: Belfast kicked off with a sparkling drinks reception and light appetizers. Guests were invited to their seats where Cathy Martin of CMPR the first guest speaker of the evening talked about dressing for success, her passion for fashion and showed some beautiful pieces from local designers and boutiques.

Maria Rafferty aka The Hormone Health Coach was next to the stage and spoke about the stigma surrounding periods, shared some startling facts and insights around understanding our bodies and the ebb and flow of our cycle – she concluded her session with a lively demonstration enjoyed by all. Dr Ava Eagle Brown concluded the guest speaker line up, author of the Mango Girl she spoke passionately about her own journey of abuse, poverty, resilience, optimism, hope and how “mindset shift” has become her most valuable mantra.

Explaining the ethos of Evolve to the ladies in the room, Mairead said, “Evolve is centred around four guiding pillars: Wellbeing – because both physical and mind self-care is essential to your success; Personal Leadership – setting and focusing on your goals gives you clarity; Inspiration – you cannot be what you cannot see so we share & celebrate other peoples’ success and Purpose – Why you do what you do. We believe that when you find your purpose & know your core values you can achieve so much more both personally and professionally.”

Michelle Harbinson, First Trust bank said, “First Trust is delighted to partner with Evolve to sponsor Evolve in the City. Evolve presents such a fantastic opportunity for women across the country to come together in a space that is inclusive, supportive and inspiring. This evening we heard from a diverse range of guest speakers, representing the different pillars of Evolve – a celebration of women that First Trust is really proud to support; together we are stronger.”

To conclude, Mairead added, “Evolve in the City: Belfast has been a fantastic evening of celebration and of women coming together to listen, to share and to learn. We want women to realise their own vision through participation, collaboration and listening to the stories of others. We’d like to sincerely thank Belfast City Council for the use of City Hall and our corporate sponsor First Trust Bank for supporting Evolve and for recognising our passion and vision. We are really excited about the future of Evolve… the best is yet to come.”
