Evolve in the City

Held recently in the Market Place Theatre, Evolve launched the first of its Evolve to the City events.  Supported with Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough council and collaborating with Women in Business, the event welcomed women from across the borough for a night of inspiration, empowerment and celebration.

Founded by Mairead Mackle and officially launched in March 2018, Evolve is a multi-generational community of women, supporting each other to achieve personal and business success through its nationwide events, website and contributors – Empowering women to be women of power.

Evolve in the City kicked off with a sparkling drinks reception, light appetizers and gorgeous locally baked sweet treats.  Guests had the opportunity to browse and support local businesses with a beautiful array of pop-up stands from successful women such as, The Style Cove, Bellamianta, Opium, Hollie Berrie Cakes and Forever Living.

Samara Prentice, Brand Stylist, showcased some amazing styles and colours from a variety of Armagh Boutiques including Mary Curry Millinery and Boutique, The Dressing Room, Newlook and Topshop.  Armagh native Aoife Lennon was the inspirational speaker for the evening, sharing her own journey of resilience, strength and hope – which was so well received by attendees.   The evening concluded with a Bumble and Blue Workshop focused on personalised vision boards for every woman in the room.

Explaining the ethos of Evolve, Mairead said, “Evolve is centred around four guiding pillars: Wellbeing – because both physical and mind self-care is essential to your success; Personal Leadership – setting and focusing on your goals gives you clarity; Inspiration -you cannot be what you cannot see so we share & celebrate other peoples’ success and Purpose – Why you do what you do.  We believe that when you find your purpose & know your core values you can achieve so much more both personally and professionally.”

We want women to come together to support and celebrate each other, to realise their own vision through participation, collaboration and listening to the stories of others.  We are thrilled with the success of our first Evolve in the City event.”
