Look Good Feel Better is the only international cancer support charity available for women and teenagers to manage the visible side effects of cancer treatment.
The aim, to increase confidence and self esteem during the very difficult time of a cancer diagnosis. Another great charity working on the same core values of compassion, dignity and excellence is The Southern Area Hospice, a charity dedicated to the delivery of specialist palliative care to patients and their families who live with Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and AIDS. Getting involved to support such a worthy cause is something we should all do if and when we can.
Mairead Mackle, founder of Evolve, a women’s network which promotes and encourages positive self, mental health and well-being, was so touched from the stories of these strong, resilient women who face life changing battles with such dignity and courage that she felt compelled to make a difference. Mairead said, “The purpose of Evolve is simple, we want women to feel supported and inspired with a little more confidence and self-belief and, a realisation that their best is yet to come. It seemed perfectly fitting that we would contribute to the amazing work of LGFB and The Southern Area Hospice in our own small way.” Mairead sponsored a selection of gifts to both charities in the hope that some wonderful woman’s day is brightened by the fact that “…she is important to us, that she inspires us by her courage, motivates us to be thankful for everything and, we are thinking about her and sending every positive wish to her on this journey”, said Mairead
